The Cripsey Brook is a watercourse in Essex , England . It arises northwest of North Weald Bassett , east of the M11 motorway and initially flows in an easterly direction. East of Moreton , which it passes south, it turns south. It flows to the west of Chipping Ongar . In the south of Chipping Ongar it turns east again, separating Marden Ash from Chipping Ongar. It then flows into the River Roding .
