Crispinus from Viterbo
Crispinus of Viterbo (baptismal name Pietro Fioretti ) (born November 13, 1668 in Viterbo , † May 19, 1750 in Rome ) was a Capuchin . He first worked as a shoemaker , became a Capuchin in 1693 and took the religious name Crispinus . From 1702 to 1748 Br. Crispinus lived as a cook and gardener in various convents and is said to have worked miracles. From 1748 until his death in 1750 he worked in the church of Santa Maria della Concezione in Rome. On August 26, 1806, Pope Pius VII beatified him, and in 1982 he was canonized by Pope John Paul II . His feast day is May 19th .
