Cristina Moșin

Cristina Moșin (with the World Chess Federation FIDE Cristina Moshina ; born November 15, 1982 ) is a Moldovan chess player .

She won the U14 European Championship for women twice: 1995 in Verdun and 1996 in Rimavská Sobota . At the U16 World Cup for Women in 1998 in Oropesa del Mar, she was second behind Wang Yu. In 2000 she played on the top board of the Moldovan U18 national team at the European Championships in Balatonlelle, Hungary . The team finished third out of twelve teams, with Cristina Moșin receiving an individual silver medal for her result of five points from seven games after victories against, among others, Tina Mietzner and Ana Srebrnič .

She has held the title of International Women's Champion (WIM) since 2000 . Their Elo rating is 2208 (as of May 2018). This puts her behind Diana Baciu and Marina Sheremetieva in third place in the Moldovan women's ranking, but is listed as inactive because she has not played a rated chess game since the Spring Festival WGM in Bucharest in March 2003. Her highest rating was 2271 in July 2002.
