The Society for the Energy Supply of Church and Social Institutions (KSE) is a church energy supply company based in Freiburg im Breisgau . The KSE was founded in 2008 by the four large Christian churches in Baden-Württemberg . As an ecologically sustainable energy supply company, KSE supports church parishes , church administrations and church and social institutions throughout Germany in the practical and economic implementation of the energy transition .

history

The KSE was founded in 2008 by the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart , the two Evangelical Churches in Baden and Württemberg and the Archdiocese of Freiburg to deliver inexpensive energy to church and social institutions, taking ecological criteria into account.

In 2018 , the KSE developed from an energy supplier to an energy supplier . The framework for action required for this realignment was created by the KSE shareholders' meeting through an amendment to the articles of association. With its realignment, KSE is given the task of making an even more active contribution to the preservation of creation and of supporting and relieving its customers in the increasingly complex energy industry environment.

Business areas

KSE's range of services includes the supply of green electricity , natural gas with CO 2 compensation and pellets, as well as services in the fields of electromobility , energy audits and photovoltaics .

Future fields of activity will be based on the energy industry issues that are particularly relevant to the specific customer base of church and social institutions as well as the KSE shareholders.

Supervisory board

The KSE Supervisory Board consists of two representatives from each of the four large Christian churches in Baden-Württemberg: the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart , the two Evangelical Churches in Baden and Württemberg and the Archdiocese of Freiburg .
