Diana Baciu (born March 26, 1994 in the Republic of Moldova ) is a Moldovan chess player .

Chess career

Diana Baciu has repeatedly represented Moldova at the youth world and European championships in various age groups, particularly successfully in 2011 when she became European champion in the U18 age group in Albena . She also won the bronze medal at the 2006 Youth World Championships in Batumi (in the U12 age group female) and 2008 in Vũng Tàu (in the U14 age group female).

From 2007 to 2010 she successfully participated in the finals of the national championships for women in Moldova and became national champion in 2009.

With the women's selection of Moldova, Baciu took part in the Chess Olympiads 2010 in Khanty-Mansiysk , 2012 in Istanbul , 2014 in Tromsø and 2016 in Baku .

Since the 2014/15 season she has been playing for Hamburger SK in the 2nd Bundesliga and the Women's Bundesliga , before that she was active for the third team of the Solingen chess company . Baciu has been the international women's champion since 2013, and she achieved the required standards at the European Youth Championship (U18 female) in 2011 and at the 2012 Women's Chess Olympiad.
