Cristofer Rosales

Cristofer Rosales (* 8. October 1994 in Managua , Nicaragua , as Cristofer Jordan Rosales González ) is a Nicaraguan professional boxer in the flyweight and current world champion of the Association World Boxing Council (WBC short). He is the cousin of Roman Gonzalez , who is also a boxer.

Career

In 2013 Rosales began his professional career and completed a total of five fights, of which he won four and lost one (at the end of August of that year he was defeated by his compatriot Keyvin Lara over four rounds by a unanimous judge's decision).

In February 2017, the left wingman competed against the Mexican Sebastian Sanchez for the vacant WBC Latino belt and won over 10 rounds on points. By split point decision he defended this title on the 31st of the following month against Eliecer Quezada also over 10 rounds.

On April 15, 2018, Rosales met Daigo Higa from Japan . This fight was about the vacant WBC world title. El Látigo , so Rosales' battle name, decided this battle by technical knockout in round 9 and thus conquered the title.
