Crocothemis divisa is a medium-sized species of dragonfly from the subfamily Sympetrinae . It wasdescribedby Karsch in 1898. The species occurs in the tropical parts of sub-Saharan Africa .

features

Crocothemis divisa reaches a body length between 40 and 41 millimeters. The males are pink to red, the females are brownish yellow. The abdomen is elongated and resembles a slim airplane fuselage. The syn thorax is dull red on the upper side and becomes reddish brown on the sides. There are black drawings between the wings. The face is yellowish and brownish yellow from the top of the forehead and on the vertex . The complex eyes are deep red on the upper side and greenish blue on the lower side. The transparent rear wings measure between 30 and 31 millimeters. The 4.0 to 4.4 millimeters long wing mark ( pterostigma ) is reddish brown.

habitat

The species lives in flowing as well as standing, stony waters in bushy savannahs .
