The Crosson Ice Shelf is an approximately 56 x 30 km ice shelf off the Walgreen coast of Marie Byrd Land in western Antarctica . It lies north and northeast of Mount Murphy and is fed by the Smith , Pope , Vane, and Haynes glaciers .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it using the United States Navy's own surveys and aerial photographs from 1959 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1976 after William Edward Crosson (* 1933), commander of the Antarctic construction team in the US Navy during of operation Deep Freeze of the year 1973rd
