The Vane Glacier is a large glacier in Marie Byrd Land, West Antarctica . It flows from the northeast slopes of Mount Murphy to the Crosson Ice Shelf on the Walgreen Coast , which it reaches between Iceberg Head and Boyd Head .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1976 after Gregg Alan Vane (* 1947), American exchange scientist on the Soviet Novolasarewskaya Station in 1972.
