The Cutcliffe peak is around 1645 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . In the Porthos Range of the Prince Charles Mountains, it rises immediately south of Mount Mervyn .
Aerial photographs of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions from 1965 were used for mapping purposes. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named it after Maxwell Arthur Cutcliffe (* 1930), electrical engineer at Mawson Station in 1966, who also helped with geodetic surveys.
