The Cwmbran Stadium is a football stadium with athletics track in the Welsh town of Cwmbran , United Kingdom . It has 10,500 seats (including 2,200 seats). International athletics meetings were held there in the 1970s and 1980s. In 1974 the stadium got a plastic track . Between 2000 and 2002 the sports complex was renovated for £ 5.6 million (approx. € 6.4 million ). Today it is mainly used as a venue for the Cwmbran Town football club . The stadium is part of the Cwmbran Stadium Sports Center ; the most modern sports facility in Torfaen .
