Cynthia Gibb

Cynthia Gibb (born December 14, 1963 in Bennington , Vermont ) is an American actress .

Life

Gibb took dance lessons as a child and was hired by Eileen Ford's New York agency as a model at the age of 14 . The following year, her photo was featured on the cover of Vogue magazine, among other things .

Gibb made her debut as an actress in the comedy film Stardust Memories from 1980. From 1983 to 1987 she starred in the television series Fame and was nominated for her role in 1984 for the Young Artist Award . In the film drama Salvador (1986) directed by Oliver Stone , she starred opposite James Woods . In the horror film The Ripper (1988) she took on one of the leading roles alongside James Spader . In the biopic Gypsy (1993) Gibb was seen on the side of Bette Midler in a larger role. For this she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award in 1994.

Gibb is married to film producer Scott Kramer and has three children. She lives in Los Angeles .
