Cyprian Bhekuzulu kaSolomon
Cyprian Bhekuzulu ka Solomon (born August 4, 1924 in Mahlabatini, Zululand , † September 17, 1968 in Nongoma ), also known as Cyprian Bhekuzulu ka Phumuzuzulu, was a King of the Zulu .
Bhekuzulu was the fourth son of Solomon ka Dinuzulu . He was the supreme chief of the Zulu from 1948 to 1968 and ceremonially held the title of king, which has not brought political rights with it since the rule of Dinuzulu . Under pressure from apartheid , Bhekuzulu approved the establishment of regional authorities to assist the Zulu; in fact, these were administrative and supervisory authorities. Mangosuthu Buthelezi was a close advisor to the king .
