Cyril Lemoine (born March 3, 1983 in Tours ) is a French cyclist .

Athletic career

Cyril Lemoine began his career in 2003, initially in the youth team of ProTeam Crédit Agricole , and in 2005 he joined the team's elite. After the dissolution of Crédit Agricole at the end of the 2008 season, Lemoine switched to the Dutch Professional Continental Team Skil-Shimano , for which he competed in his first Tour de France in 2009 . After his contract was not renewed after the season ended, Lemoine went to Saur-Sojasun . He has been driving for Cofidis since 2014 and has been part of this team since 2015 mainly as a helper for Nacer Bouhanni .

Lemoine is a rider who has consistently achieved good placings, but until 2017 he was denied a victory in a UCI race . Since 2006 he has competed in the Tour de France several times , but was unable to place in the top hundred. He is considered a grimpeur (mountain specialist). At the 2014 Tour de France , he wore the leader's jersey in the mountain classification for six days. His best place in a big tour was 61st place at the Vuelta a España 2015 .
