Cyrille Merville (born April 14, 1982 in Amiens ) is a French football goalkeeper who is currently active at Olympique Nîmes .
Career
Merville began his career in his hometown of Amiens with SC Amiens , to whom he was a professional footballer for eight years, in which he came to 154 appearances. Even at the young age of 19 for a goalkeeper, he was regularly on the bench and made his first appearance in Ligue 2 on March 23, 2002 when he came on for Julien Lachuer in the second half . The following season he substituted his six-year-old colleague ten times before he moved to SCO Angers , and Merville played all games in the 2003/04 season . Merville was a regular goalkeeper at Amiens until the summer of 2007 when he and the club decided to part ways and Merville moved to Troyes .
Even with his new club, he was immediately set, but the team rose in the 2008/09 season as the penultimate, so he went to Arles , and so remained in Ligue 2. With Merville as support, the team even made it to Ligue 1 , where the club, however, was the last to be relegated directly with just 20 points. In this season Merville had not been undisputed key players more, but it was - after the team lost without him seven times in a row - again become the no. 1. For the 2011/12 season he moved to the third division Olympique Nîmes , with whom he achieved promotion to Ligue 2 as a regular goalkeeper in his first season .
In June 2014 he signed for two years with the newly promoted US Créteil . He made his debut at the season opener on August 1st.
