Czarni Słupsk is a Polish professional basketball team . The association based in Słupsk ( German Stolp ) has been operating under the name SSA Energa Czarni Słupsk since 2005 . The club plays in the highest Polish league, the Polska Liga Koszykówki ( German Polish Basketball League ).
history
The association was founded in 1945 by railway employees under the name KKS Ognisko Słupsk . At the time, the club only had one football section . The basketball section was taken over by the Gryf club (also from Słupsk) in the late 1980s. In the 2009/10 season Czarni Słupsk was trained by the former Olympic basketball champion Igors Miglinieks from Latvia , before his Lithuanian assistant Dainius Adomaitis took over the following season. He was able to repeat the team's greatest success with the bronze medal in the 2011 championship, which was won for the first time in 2006. The also Latvian Uvis Helmanis , known in Germany as a player from the basketball league , assisted Adomaitis after he joined the club during the season.

The club plays the season games in Hala Gryfia , a sports hall built in Słupsk in 1982. The hall offers 2554 spectators.
