Dávid Katzirz (born June 25, 1980 in Tatabánya / Hungary ) is a Hungarian handball player . He is 1.90 m tall.

Katzirz, who still plays for the Hungarian top club SC Szeged (shirt number 18) and plays for the Hungarian men's national handball team (shirt number 11), is mostly used on the left back , his strengths are mainly in defense.

Dávid Katzirz made his debut in the first division in 1998 for Pécs KK. In 2002 he went to the top club Dunaferr SE , where he became Hungarian champion in 2004. In 2004 he moved to Tatabánya Carbonex KC, after only one year he went on - for the first time abroad - to Pallamano Secchia in Italy. In 2006 he moved to the Wilhelmshaven HV in the 1st  handball league . There he played a convincing season and finished 11th with his team. He then hired for a year with the newly promoted TUSEM Essen before returning to his home country in 2008 and signing with SC Szeged.

Dávid Katzirz has so far played over 74 international matches for the Hungarian men's national handball team . With Hungary he also took part in the men's handball world championship in Germany in 2007 , but only finished 9th.
