Persh grew up in Berlin , where she attended the Hansa elementary school from 1970 and later the Heinrich von Kleist high school. Before starting her radio career, Persh worked from 1981 to 1982 for the Unimedia advertising agency and from 1982 to 1985 for Pool Musikproduktionen, both in Berlin.

In 1984 she started at RIAS in Berlin and worked there as well as in her subsequent stations, among other things as a moderator and editor . This was followed by 104.6 RTL in Berlin from 1992 to 1995 and partly in parallel, namely from 1993 to 1996, N-Joy in Hamburg and from 1994 to 1995 Radio B Zwei also in Berlin.

Both 104.6 RTL and N-Joy set new standards in Germany in the early 1990s as adult contemporary channels with strategies copied from the USA , and Persh was jointly responsible for both channels in addition to her work as a presenter in prime-time programs and as a trainer for the implementation of these format radios . From 1998 to 2004 Persh moderated at NDR 2 in Hamburg and again from 2005 to 2010 at Antenne Brandenburg in Potsdam. From 2008 to 2010 she also had an engagement at Bremen Eins .
