Dürnhaindlfing with the main towns of Ober- and Unterhaindlfing is a former municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Freising , which was incorporated into the municipality of Wolfersdorf on May 1, 1978 as part of the municipal reform. The name Dürnhaindlfing is an old Bavarian curiosity because there is no designation as a settlement that suggests a place name.

geography

The former municipality of Dürnhaindlfing was in the Hallertau hill country . The next larger city is the district town of Freising .

history

Dürnhaindlfing with the main towns Oberhaindlfing and Unterhaindlfing is a subsidiary of Haindlfing in the Ampertal . The settlers withdrew further from the Ampertal in the 9th to 10th centuries, as the invading Hungarians raged heavily. The new settlement is called Düren-Haindlfing because the cleared land is rather arid compared to the Ampertal. In a document 1275 Perhaidolfingen (Unterhaindlfing) and 1291 Gruebhaindolwingen (Oberhaindlfing) are mentioned.

The former municipality of Dürnhaindlfing was founded in 1819 with the Bavarian municipal edict and consisted of the districts Ober- and Unterhaindlfing, Billingsdorf, Heigenhausen, Jägersdorf, Ruhpalzing and Wölfling. It was incorporated into the Wolfersdorf community on May 1, 1978 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

politics

The last mayor of the community was Josef Buchbinder (from 1967 to 1978).
