Dürrenberg is a district of Hartmannsdorf in the Greiz district in Thuringia .
geography
Dürrenberg is a hamlet-like street village . It is located on the flat plateau of the Dürrenberg, between the state road 1075 and the local road to Hartmannsdorf northwest of Gera . The federal motorway 4 runs a little south of the village . It is two kilometers to Bad Köstritz to the northeast . In a westerly direction the hills to the Tautenhain forest begin .
history
The village was first mentioned on June 25, 1230. The companies in Bad Köstritz and Gera were and are the main employers for the village workers.
