Detlef Simon (born April 25, 1966 in Hanover ; called DESiMO ) is a German entertainer , magician , presenter and cabaret artist.

Simon attended the Kurt-Schwitters-Gymnasium in Hanover- Misburg . After an internship at radio ffn from 1986 to 1988, Simon worked there for several years as a freelance editor and presenter. At the same time he appeared with the magician and comedy trio Plebsbüttel in Germany and several European countries, Las Vegas and Japan from 1990 to 1999 and won several prizes and awards. This was followed by moderation for TV and stage. At the same time, Simon was the conférencier of the “new German variety theater” for 15 years .

Since 2002 he has been organizing and moderating the “Special Club”, a show with surprise guests. From August 2009 he presented “Lower Saxony's funniest Sunday show” with Martin Jürgensmann . In 2010 he toured Germany with his solo program "Wunschlos oder Glücklich". He has been playing his program “Paranormal Abilities” since spring 2012. From autumn 2015 he will play his new solo “Wahnhinweise”. Detlef Simon is also a regular nonsense comedy club presenter , plays at the “Small Festival in the Great Garden” in Hanover and at mix shows and festivals. He is also a sought-after moderator and entertainer.

He also moderates the quiz show BONK! which runs completely computer-controlled and in which, in addition to the three spectators participating on the stage, the audience is involved. The game is projected onto a screen so that every visitor can follow the game live.

Detlef Simon took over the sponsorship of the in Limmerstraße 71 laid stumbling block for the artists and magicians Ernst Schünemann , by the 1939 Nazis because of his homosexuality after § 175 into the prison Hameln was transported and died at the detention consequences.
