The women 's soccer club Allendorf / Eder is a German women's soccer club from Allendorf . The club was created in 1994 from the women's football department of the former Bundesliga club TSV Battenberg . He currently plays in the fifth-class association league Hessen North.
history
The TSV Battenberg was one of the founding members of the Oberliga Hessen in 1985. In 1992 TSV Battenberg rose to the Bundesliga . In the 1992/93 season , the team took 8th place in the southern group, which was enough to keep them up. In the following year, however , they rose again from the Oberliga Hessen.
The women's football department then founded its own club based in the neighboring municipality of Allendorf and has since been running as DFC Allendorf / Eder. In 1997 the team was relegated from the Oberliga Hessen and did not return until three years later. In 2002, as fourth in the table, they were promoted to the then second-class Regionalliga Süd , as the three better-placed teams waived the promotion. The Regionalliga turned out to be a number too big and the DFC rose as the bottom of the table immediately.
After a few more years in the Oberliga Hessen, the club was relegated to the Verbandsliga Nord in 2008, where the first team still plays today.
