The DGPS transmitter Groß Mohrdorf is a DGPS broadcasting station near Groß Mohrdorf approx. Twenty kilometers northwest of Stralsund . It is located on the site of the former Groß Mohrdorf airfield, which was the field airfield of the former JG-9 of the NVA . The DGPS transmitter Groß Mohrdorf has two identical 25.2 meter high vertical, electrically extended dipoles as antenna system. Only one of the two antennas is ever in operation, the other serves as a reserve and is only put into operation during the night for two hours.
