DJ Tatanka or Tatanka (* 18th December 1979 ; actually Valerio Mascellino ) is an Italian Hardstyle - DJ and music producer . Mascellino has two of his own record labels called "Zanzalabs" and "Zanzatraxx", under which he produces. The name Tatanka refers to the American bison in the Lakota language . Mascellino used to be known under his alias Bison to his current name Tatanka.

Life

Mascellino completed his training as a chef . He started out as a DJ at private parties in 1993. In 1998 he started hardstyle productions for the record label Mammut Records. In 2002 Mascellino became known under his pseudonym "Bison" when he recorded the track I Got Tonight with The Quakers . Under the name "Taratola" he had his greatest success in 2004 with the title Insane . In 2006 he produced GTP as "T4t4nk4" . This title ran across Europe. Mascellino landed another hit under the name “Zanza Labs”, Control The Mind / Industrial Bug .

Mascellino worked regularly with other musicians on the hardstyle scene, such as Technoboy , Zany , Activator, Zatox and Isaac. In these co-productions he usually appears as "Tatanka" or "Tat" (as in: "Tat & Zat").

He performed at many well-known festivals such as Decibel Outdoor , Qlimax , Q-Base , In Qontrol , X-Qlusive , Airbeat One and many more. on.

Mascellinos uses numerous pseudonyms in his solo projects. Often the names of his group projects are a combination of the solo pseudonyms of the participating artists; only the special names are listed here.
