from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

DOTLAN is an intranet system for planning and hosting a LAN party . In 2000, Daniel Hoffend started developing for the Lanparty “fettnet” on a non-commercial basis. He has been marketing the system commercially since 2005.

Functions

DOTLAN offers a complete content management system that does not necessarily have to be used for LAN parties, but can also be used to create websites . DOTLAN also offers a number of special functions for the original application area of LAN parties.

In addition to a seating plan editor, user administration and a media database, DOTLAN also includes a tried and tested tournament system. The tournament organizer can choose between the most popular systems, double elimination , single elimination and group system. Combinations of different systems are also possible. Registration for the tournaments can take place directly at the party or in advance on the Internet. There is also no separate intranet system for the LAN party, rather the system contains all the necessary modules for the Internet and Intranet and can therefore be taken 1 to 1 with you to the LAN party.

The complete system has a modular structure so that parts of the system that are not required can be deactivated.
