DR P1 is a Danish public radio station.

It is the oldest radio station in Denmark and has been on the air since 1925. The station is the first public radio program in Denmark and is a purely word-based program. His focus is on news, live broadcasts of parliamentary debates and documentaries.

Reception in Germany

In the German-Danish border area, the station can be received via VHF and DAB. In addition, Kabel Deutschland P1 feeds analogue into large parts of the Schleswig-Holstein cable networks. Otherwise reception via the Internet is also possible. Since DR P2 lost its VHF frequency chain in 2011, P1 and P2 have to share the first frequency chain on which only the program from DR P1 was previously broadcast. Both stations can still be received via DAB 24 hours a day.
