information Racing game with action elements

DTM Race Driver (English original title: TOCA Race Driver ) is the first part of a series of racing games from the British company Codemasters , which is available for Windows , Xbox and PlayStation 2 . It is a direct continuation of the TOCA Touring Cars series from the same manufacturer. So far, four parts of the series have appeared. A special feature is the variety of available racing series, including the eponymous DTM is playable. The first two parts also tried to involve the player in the action through a continuous background story. Due to a lack of feedback, this was changed for the third part .

To the game

In the PC version, 13 championships, 38 authentic racetracks and 42 real touring cars are available. 20 racing cars on the track at the same time, detailed graphics and an authentic damage model try to create a real racing flair.

action

In career mode, the main character Ryan McKane - whose father was killed by a ram hit by a driver named James Randall - meets Bobby Scott. He will be his future manager. He asks Ryan to drive a Lexus IS 200 and complete a full season with it. After this you drive a race against the Pro Race Driver Paul Craven, in which a Mini Cooper beckons as a reward .

Then you can choose your own stations in your career. After Ryan has qualified for the next higher group with much more powerful cars, he gets into an argument with his brother Donnie because he does not want to be compared to him. A little later, McKane meets another driver named Nick Landers who injures Ryan's brother by ramming him off the track. After finally making it to the world championship, manager Bobby Scott is run over by Nick Landers when he finds out that Nick Landers is just James Randall's alter ego. The World Cup now comes to a showdown, at the end of which Ryan McKane reveals Nick Landers' true identity.
