Davonte Damion Lacy (born March 21, 1993 in Tacoma ) is an American basketball player .

career

Lacy played basketball at Curtis High School in Washington State and then from 2011 to 2015 at Washington State University (WSU) in the first division of the NCAA . When he finished his university time in 2015, he was in fifth place with 1,548 points and in first place with 249 three-point throws hit on the eternal basketball list of the Washington States university team. In a total of 116 appearances for WSU, Lacy achieved mean values ​​of 13.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per match.

Lacy took part in the NBA summer league with the Indiana Pacers in 2015 and moved to the Austrian Bundesliga at UBC Güssing for the 2015/16 season . In February 2016, the contract between Lacy and the financially troubled Güssing team was terminated, and a few days later he moved within the Bundesliga to BC Hallmann in Vienna . For the Viennese he scored an average of 5.9 points in 15 Bundesliga appearances. In Güssing he had played 21 Bundesliga games and posted an average of 10.9 points per mission. There were also European Cup games with the UBC.

In July 2017, Lacy was signed by the Ehingen / Urspring syndicate from the second German division after he was without a club in the 2016/17 season. In the second division game year 2017/18 he got an average of 18.5 and was the best scorer in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA , but with Ehingen he missed staying in class, which was later secured by Cologne's withdrawal from the “green table”.

In mid-October 2018 he was signed by PS Karlsruhe (2nd Bundesliga ProA). He scored an average of 16.8 points per game for Karlsruhe during the 2018/19 season. During the summer break of 2019, he moved to the Turkish second division club Merkezefendi Belediye Denizli Basketbol. He separated from the Turkish club in December 2019 and returned to Germany in January 2020 when he was signed by second division USC Heidelberg  . In mid-March 2020, he left Germany because of the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus for his home country. Until then, Lacy had posted an average of 18.7 points in eleven missions for Heidelberg.

At the beginning of May 2020 he was presented as a new addition by the Dutch first division club Donar Groningen.
