Dactah Chando

Dactah Chando (born May 29, 1976 in Almáciga Anaga , Tenerife , Canary Islands ) is a Spanish reggae and dancehall singer.

Life

Dactah Chando started his career in 1998 with local sounds and was the founder of the first sound system - Da King Crew - with a Selectah and several young talents from the Canarian reggae scene.

He quickly made a name for himself in the national reggae clash in Spain. In 2006 he released his first album in Tenerife with Binghiman Records and toured South America, especially Venezuela . There he built up a considerable fan base.

Through his surfer friend Ingo Pötsch, head of the Achinech Productions label , he worked with producer and drummer Toby Nambur and the front man of the reggae group Six Nation on the surf-reggae dancehall video Surf Is My Life . Convinced of his new discovery, Pötsch quickly offered him a record deal with Achinech Productions for his first international debut album in 2008. The producer Toby Nambur and Dactah Chando composed 15 tracks, which the well-known producer from Cologne, Guido Craveiro , polished up, partially recomposed and made an international top album with Tanya Stephens , Luciano , Louie Culture , Gyptian and Alborosie . Guido Craveiro opened the doors for Dactah Chando to the top German reggae scene, Dellé SEEED . Dactah Chando was twice on stage with singer Frank Dellé . He was even allowed to cover a riddim by Peter Fox ( black to blue ) DAT DAY. His debut album CLARA was released internationally by Achinech Productions. Since 2011 Dactah Chando has been touring Europe with his top band, consisting of top international musicians from this genre, and has also played at major festivals such as the Rototom Sunsplash in Benicàssim in Spain or the Ostróda Reggae Festival in Poland or the Summerjam in Cologne .

He released his seventh album in 2019 and continues to tour internationally.
