Dadju

Dadju (born May 2, 1991 in Bobigny , Seine-Saint-Denis ; real name Dadju Djuna Nsungula ) is a French singer and rapper .

life and career

Nsungula was born in 1991 to Congolese parents in Bobigny, France, and grew up in Romainville . His father Djuna Djanana is the singer of the Papa Wemba Band. He comes from an extended family with 15 children. His older brother is the also successful singer Gims . His other brothers Bedjik and Xgangs are also musically active. In 2012 he signed a record deal with the label Wati B , to which his brother Gims was also under contract at the time. Together with Abou Tall he founded the duo Shin Sekaï that same year . They achieved their first success in 2013 with the mixtape Rêver and their second album The Shin Sekaï volume II . The song Du Berceau au Linceul from the latter reached the top 10 of the French single charts. Her third album Indéfini was released in March 2016 and was also able to position itself in the top 10. Only a little later, the duo announced a break. From then on, the rappers concentrated on their solo careers. Nsungula's debut album Gentleman 2.0 was released on November 24, 2017 and immediately hit number one on the French album charts. In 2018, the album was awarded a diamond record in France for over 500,000 units sold. The single releases from the album also turned out to be very successful. Reine , Bob Marley and Jaloux also received diamond awards. In November 2019 the two-part album Antidote ou poison was released , with Antidote and Poison being released individually with an interval of one week. After just a few days, the project was awarded a gold record.

Nsungula has been married since January 8, 2017. In October 2017 he became the father of a daughter.
