Dagmar Becker (born December 23, 1955 in Nordhausen ) is a Thuringian politician ( SPD ). She was a member of the Thuringian State Parliament from 1994 to 2009 and from 2014 to 2019 .

education and profession

After her apprenticeship as an electrician from 1972 to 1974, Dagmar Becker worked at the Nordhausen depot between 1974 and 1979.

From 1981 to 1990 she was a saleswoman in a butcher's shop . After reunification , she ran a butcher's shop as an independent entrepreneur until 1994. From 2010 to 2011 she worked as an employee at a wood producer. She has been married since 1976 and has two sons

politics

From 1990 to 1994 she was the 2nd alderman in the municipal council in Wülfingerode . Becker was SPD district chairman in the Nordhausen district from 1994 to 2015 . Since 1999 she has been a member of the Nordhausen district council and chairman of the SPD parliamentary group there.

She was elected to the state parliament for the first time in the state elections in Thuringia in 1994 . In 1999 and 2004 she was re-elected to the state parliament via the SPD state list. There she was deputy parliamentary group leader of the SPD and from 2004 to 2009 she was deputy chairman of the committee for food, agriculture and forestry.

In the state elections in Thuringia in 2009 , she applied unsuccessfully for a direct mandate in the Nordhausen I constituency . On the SPD state list, she only ran for position 22 and therefore did not make it back to the state parliament. For the state elections in 2014 , she was re-elected to the Thuringian state parliament via number 9 on her party's state list. She was a member of the Committee on Infrastructure, Agriculture and Forestry and the Committee on Environment, Energy and Nature Conservation. From 2014 until her resignation in June 2019, she was again a member of the parliamentary group's executive committee as deputy chairwoman and later as parliamentary manager. She was the spokeswoman for her group for the issues of agriculture and forestry as well as the environment and nature conservation. She was a member of the committees for infrastructure, agriculture and forestry as well as for the environment, energy and nature conservation. After the state elections in 2019, she left the state parliament.

Other offices

Dagmar Becker was chairwoman of the AWO district association in Nordhausen from 1999 to 2015 . Since November 2012, Dagmar Becker has been a member of the federal board of the Federation for the Environment and Nature Conservation Germany . V. (BUND). In addition, she is also a board member of the BUND regional association of Thuringia. She is also the mayor of her home town of Wülfingerode.
