Dagmar Blaha

Dagmar Blaha (* 1952 in Bad Langensalza ) is a German archivist and historian . She was the director of the main state archive in Weimar .

Life

After completing her studies in history and archival science at the Humboldt University in Berlin , Blaha took up a position as a scientific archivist at the Weimar State Archives in 1975. Between 1992 and 1993 she was the acting head of the State Archives in Gotha . In 1996 she was appointed senior archivist, from 2002 she was head of department for the older holdings of the main state archive, and in 2009 she was appointed archivist. After the creation of the state archive in Thuringia , she became head of the main state archive in Weimar in 2016. Dagmar Blaha retired on April 30, 2019.
During her work at the State Archives, Blaha published numerous articles and source editions on the history of the
Ernestines , the University of Jena and the history of the Reformation , in addition to heraldic and sphragistic topics .
