Dagmar Braun Celeste
Dagmar Braun Celeste (* 1941 in Krems , Austria ) is an American Roman Catholic theologian .
Life
Celeste studied theology and political science . She taught at Kent State University. In her work, she advocated women's rights and women's ordination . She was on the board of directors of the Women's Ordination Conference . On June 29, 2002, it was consecrated on the Danube by the Free Catholic Bishop Rómulo Antonio Braschi , who was excommunicated by the Roman Catholic Church in 1975 . Furthermore, the Roman Catholic theologians Ida Raming , Christine Mayr-Lumetzberger , Adelinde Theresia Roitinger , Gisela Forster , Pia Brunner and Iris Müller were consecrated at this ceremony. According to their act contrary to the teaching and law of the Roman Catholic Church, they were themselves excommunicated on December 21, 2002 . Celeste was married to the US politician Dick Celeste , former governor of Ohio , and has six children with him. In 1995 the couple divorced.
