Dagmar Wilhelmina Ebbesen (born October 1, 1891 in Stockholm ; died December 5, 1954 in Solna ) was a Swedish theater and film actress .

Life

Dagmar Ebbesen was the daughter of the actor couple Thorald Ebbesen and Jenny Öhrström and the sister of the actress Elsa Ebbesen.

She began her career in the theater at the age of 13 and has appeared in over 90 films. She often played the role of the maid , who acted with sagacity, humor and heart, and other rather bitter female roles.

Her greatest film successes include Flickorna på Uppåkra (Girl from Uppåkra) (1936), Kvinnan tar befälet (The woman takes command) (1942), Kristin kommenderar (Commander Kristin) (1946) and En lektion i kärlek (Lesson in love) (1954). She also sang in some film roles.

Dagmar Ebbesen was married to the pianist Heribert Abrahamson (1889–1956) from 1926 and had a son, Torald Holger Thorell (1911–1983).
