Dagmar Freifrau von Cramm (née Frowein; * 1955 in Wuppertal ) is a German nutritionist , non-fiction author and journalist.

Life

Dagmar von Cramm comes from the Frowein family based in Wuppertal , with roots in the Transylvanian Saxons .

After completing her studies, the qualified ecotrophologist ( Dipl. Oec. Troph. ) Began to work as a salaried editor. In 1984 she started her own business as a specialist journalist. 1987 appeared in the series GU kitchen advice with pregnancy and breastfeeding. Now the right thing to eat her first book. Her books and guides on nutrition, translated into ten languages, which have over 200 titles, have a total circulation of several million copies.

The “food journalist” writes as a columnist for magazines, works as a presenter, gives lectures and is often invited to seminars and television discussions.

In 1990 and 1994, Dagmar von Cramm was awarded the journalist prize of the German Nutrition Society (DGE) in the “Public Magazines” category. She has been a co-opted member of the Presidium since 1995. She has been a member of the board of trustees of the Heinz Lohmann Foundation since 2006 .

The mother of three sons, who is married to a veterinarian from the former Baron family Cramm, lives with her family in Freiburg im Breisgau .
