Daiya Maekawa ( Japanese 前 川 黛 也 , Maekawa Daiya ; born September 8, 1994 in Hiroshima , Hiroshima Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Daiya Maekawa is the son of Kazuya Maekawa , who was in goal with Sanfrecce Hiroshima and Ōita Trinita .

Career

Daiya Maekawa learned to play soccer in the youth teams of Ōita Trinita and Sanfrecce Hiroshima as well as in the university team of Kansai University . The goalkeeper signed his first professional contract with Vissel Kobe in February 2017 . The club from Kobe played in the first division of the country, the J1 League . In 2019 he won the Kaiser Cup with Vissel . In the final they won 2-0 against the Kashima Antlers from Kashima .
