Dajan Šimac (born January 4, 1982 in Bingen ) is a German football player of Croatian descent.

Career

In the club

As a youth player, Šimac moved from Blau-Weiß Münster-Sarmsheim to Hassia Bingen . From there, at the age of 17, he went to 1. FC Kaiserslautern , where he was initially used in the youth and from 2001 to 2003 in the second team. For the 2003/04 season he moved to the second division for SpVgg Greuther Fürth . In the Franks he came to a second division against Wacker Burghausen before he moved on to SV Wehen during the winter break. After his move, he received German citizenship. In labor he became a regular player in the 2004/05 season and completed 68 regional league games for labor by September 2006. A shoulder injury led to a three-month hiatus, from which Šimac returned to the team before the 2006/07 winter break. With the Taunussteiner he rose in 2007 to the second division and completed 56 games in the following two seasons, in which he scored six goals. His contract with SV Wehen Wiesbaden ran until 2010. After Wiesbaden's relegation from the 2nd division, he moved to FSV Frankfurt in the summer of 2009 . After only eight appearances for the second division team of the FSV in the 2009/10 season, the club and Šimac dissolved the contract that ran until June 30, 2011 at the end of the 2010 season.

Šimac then joined the Hungarian first division club VSC Debrecen in the summer of 2010 .

After three seasons in Hungary, he signed a contract with the Turkish second division club Denizlispor during the summer break of the 2013/14 season . Here, however, he was only used ten times in the first half of the season. Since new defenders were bought in the winter break, Šimac was no longer taken into account, so the contract was terminated by the club. At the beginning of 2014 he moved to the then reigning Serbian cup winner FK Jagodina .

National team

He completed a game for the Croatian U-20 national team in 2003 .

Private

Before starting his football career, Šimac trained as a hotel manager.
