Dakers Island

Dakers Island is an island in the West Antarctic Palmer Archipelago . In the eastern section of the Joubin Islands , it lies between Hartshorne Island and McGuire Island .

The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1975 after Hugh Brennan Dakers (1927-2011), cook on RV Hero serving the National Science Foundation on their Antarctic voyage to Palmer Station in 1968.
