Dal Stivens
Dallas George Stivens (born December 31, 1911 in Blayney , Blayney Shire , New South Wales , † June 15, 1997 in Sydney ) was an Australian writer .
Stivens was married to Winifred Wright from 1945 until his divorce in 1977 and they had two children.
Stiven's novel A horse of air describes the mystical search for a rare bird. In 1970 the novel won the Miles Franklin Award .
