The Dale Head is a mountain in the Lake District , Cumbria , England . The Dale Head is one of 214 mountains described by Alfred Wainwright . The Dale Head is 753 m high and has a notch height of 397 m.
Dale Head rises directly north of Honister Pass , from which a direct ascent to the summit is possible. The Dale Head forms the southern end of the Newlands Valley to which it drops over the Dale Head Crags. Dale Head can be climbed as part of the Newlands Horseshoe Hike.
The Dalehead Tarn and Launchy Tarn are at the eastern foot of the mountain.
