Chervotkin won gold in the relay and bronze in the skiathlon at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2013 in Liberec and won the 15 km freestyle, 7.5 km classic and mixed relay at the subsequent European Youth Olympic Festival in Brașov . At the Junior World Championships in 2015 he won silver in the skiathlon and bronze with the relay and two years later he won the junior world championship in Almaty in the 10 km freestyle, in the skiathlon and with the relay.
