The Dalgliesh Bay is a 1.5 km wide and 5 km deep bay on the west coast of the West Antarctic Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula west upstream Pourquoi Pas Island . It is located between Lainez Point and Bongrain Point .
A first survey was made in 1936 by participants in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934–1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill . Another survey by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) followed in 1948 . The latter named the book after David Geoffrey Dalgliesh (1922-2010), from 1948 to 1949 FIDS doctor at the station on Stonington Island , who was involved in a sled excursion to this area in 1948.
