Lake Dalneje ( Russian Озеро Дальнее ) is located near the east coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula in the far east of Russia .
Dalneje Lake is located 22 km southwest of the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky . The closed city of Vilyuchinsk is 3.5 km east of the lake on the southwest coast of the Avacha Bay . The approximately rectangular lake has a length of 2.5 km in an east-west direction and a maximum width of 600 m. It lies at a height of 29.7 m and is drained to the west to the Paratunka . The maximum water depth is 60 m, the mean water depth is 31.5 m. The bottom of the lake is therefore below sea level. Lake Dalneje is located in an IUCN Category III nature reserve .
Fish fauna
The endemic char Salvelinus krogiusae occurs in Lake Dalneje . The occurrence of this freshwater fish species is limited to the lake.
