Damases
Damasen ( ancient Greek Δαμασήν conqueror ) is a giant of Greek mythology .
He appears in the fifth century Dionysiaka of the Nonnos of Panopolis as the son of Gaia , whom she gave birth to without a father. He is bearded from birth, is immediately armed with weapons by the goddess of birth Eileithyia and grows to a gigantic size. He is raised by the goddess of discord and strife Eris . He is asked by the nymph Moria to kill the dragon that killed her brother Tylos . Damasen then kills the dragon with a tree trunk.
