Daniel Cifuentes Alfaro (born July 13, 1980 in Madrid ) is a Spanish football player who plays for Recreativo Huelva in the Spanish Segunda División .

Player career

The beginnings

Daniel Cifuentes started his career as a footballer in Segunda División B at Zamora. There he played regularly in defense for two years. In order to collect more match practice, he went for the 2003/04 season to the also third class UD Lanzarote . There he was able to recommend himself as a regular player for an engagement with the Basque second division club SD Eibar . With Eibar he was in fourth place at the end of the season and thus just missed promotion. The three newcomers were three points missing in the end.

The last few years

In 2005, the first division Real Sociedad decided to sign him. In his first season he still came to 13 missions, but in the 2006/07 season he only played once. For this reason he was loaned to the second division SD Ponferradina for the second half of the season. This year was doubly bitter for Cifuentes as both Real Sociedad and Ponferradina were relegated in their leagues. In the summer of 2007, he therefore moved to the first division promoted Real Valladolid . Since 2009 he has been back in the Segunda Division B at Cádiz FC .
