Daniel Diederich Knoop
Diederich Daniel Knoop (* 1817 in Bremen ; † 1893 in Bremen) was a Bremen wholesale merchant .
Life
Knoop was one of eight children in an impoverished merchant family in Bremen. His brother, four years his junior, was the textile merchant Ludwig Knoop .
In 1869 Knoop bought a piece of land in Bremen - Horn-Lehe and had the existing old country house demolished. He was from 1873 to 1875 according to plans by Johann Poppe the castle Kreyenfeld Horst in Neo-Renaissance style building. In 1888 the property went to the shipowner Willy Rickmers .
