Daniel Fischer (ski racer)

Daniel Fischer (born February 2, 1985 ) is a German ski racer . As a youngster he belongs to the B-team of the German Ski Association (DSV) and is considered an all-rounder there.

Life

Fischer was born the son of the biathlete Fritz Fischer and grew up in Ruhpolding . At the age of four he was accompanied by his mother on his native Westernberg on skis for the first time. After attending the secondary school in Marquartstein , he joined the federal police .

From December 2000 he regularly took part in the FIS races held in the Alpine region and in January 2004 he was promoted to the DSV European Cup squad, but has not yet made it into the top ranks.

He celebrated the greatest successes of his career so far in March 2007 when he became German champion in giant slalom and combined as well as runner-up in slalom in Lohberg - albeit in the absence of the top German drivers .
