Daniel "Danny" Fox (born May 29, 1986 in Winsford ) is a Scottish football player who has been under contract with the English second division Wigan Athletic since 2019 .
Career
society
Fox was born in Winsford, Cheshire . He went through the youth department of Everton , but he was denied a use in the combat team. At the end of 2004 he was loaned to the Scottish club FC Stranraer , where he completed 11 games, where he managed one goal. In the summer, Fox moved to English club FC Walsall on a free transfer , for whom he played 99 league games. In January 2008 he was committed by English second division club Coventry City , for which he completed 57 games. In July 2009 the immediate move to Celtic Glasgow was announced; from then on, he should primarily occupy the position of left defender.
In the winter of 2010 he moved to the English club Burnley FC . In the summer of 2011, he moved to Southampton FC .
On January 30, 2014, he moved on loan to the second division Nottingham Forest . At the end of the season, Forest signed Fox on a firm contract basis.
National team
After Fox had completed a game for England's U-21s in March 2007 , he decided a good two years later to play for Scotland and made his debut on November 14, 2009 in the 3-0 defeat by Wales .
