Daniel Göhlert (born September 25, 1980 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ) is a former German football player .

Career

Göhlert started playing football at the age of seven at FC Karl-Marx-Stadt (predecessor club of today's Chemnitzer FC ). There he made the jump into the squad of the first men's team in 2000. In his debut season he came to eleven appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga , but he did not succeed in relegation with the Chemnitz team and he was relegated to the regional football league at the end of the season .

In the following five years the CFC stayed in the regional league and Göhlert became a regular player in the team. When the club was relegated to the NOFV-Oberliga Süd in 2006 , he left Saxony and joined the newly promoted regional league 1. FC Union Berlin .

Even with his current employer, Göhlert was able to fight for a regular place after starting difficulties. After qualifying for the new 3rd soccer league with Union in 2008 , he returned to the second Bundesliga in 2009. In the 2011/12 season, Göhlert missed almost the entire streak after an injury to his tailbone. Because of this and because of the strong competition in the defensive position, he only made 13 appearances this season. Therefore, at the beginning of the following season, he was given permission to switch. Instead, Göhlert stayed with Union and ended his contractual relationship at the end of the season after another twelve missions for the Berlin team. In total, he played 175 competitive games for Union, in which he scored four goals.

Then Göhlert let his amateur career end at TSV Einheit Claußnitz .
