Gran Premio Costa degli Etruschi

The Gran Premio Costa degli Etruschi (German Grand Prix of the Etruscan Coast ) was an Italian road bike race .

The one-day race was held for the first time in 1996 and took place annually in February at the beginning of the cycling season from then until 2017. The venue was the province of Livorno in Tuscany , starting in San Vincenzo and finishing in Donoratico on the Via Aurelia . Since the introduction of the UCI Europe Tour in 2005 it has been part of this racing series and was classified in category 1.1. The record winner is the Italian sprinter Alessandro Petacchi , who won the race six times in a row.
